Row Expressway, and what it offers is a combination that's harder to find than people think: established residential streets with mature trees, a genuinely significant golf course in the middle of it, and a location that puts the hospitals, the university, the border, and the 401 all within about fifteen minutes.

Most people in Windsor know Roseland as the municipal course. Fewer know what it actually is. Roseland was designed by Donald Ross in 1926, and Ross is the most respected architect in the history of golf, the man who moved course design from penal to strategic and made the game more enjoyable for everyone who plays it. He designed 413 courses. Ten of them are in Canada. Roseland is one, and it's the only municipally owned Ross course in the country.
It still runs the original 1926 layout. Eighty-four original bunkers, the original water holes, and the trademark Ross greens: pitched back to front, multi-tiered, and no two alike. It plays from 5,398 to 6,943 yards, par 72. The City of Windsor recognised its heritage value formally under bylaw in 2003. There's a par three shortie course and a practice range on the property as well, at 455 Kennedy Drive. Living near it is a real thing in this neighbourhood, and it's the sort of asset a buyer moving here from out of town has no way to appreciate from a listing photo.
Proximity to everything is the other driver, and it's the one that keeps South Windsor consistently in demand. The hospitals, the University of Windsor, downtown, the Ambassador Bridge, E.C. Row, and the 401 are all a short drive. The course sits in the heart of the city, minutes from shopping, restaurants, hotels, parks, and the waterfront, and the same is true of the houses around it.
South Lawn Gardens is worth naming on its own. It's one of the more beautiful pockets in the whole city.

Roseland Golf Club
The Donald Ross championship course, the nine-hole par three, and the practice range, at 455 Kennedy Drive. The clubhouse handles tournaments, weddings, and events up to about 200, and the dining room looks out over the course. Curling has since moved to the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex at Oakwood Park.
Central Park
The neighbourhood recreation hub on Woodland Avenue, with a leisure pool with beach entry and water features, a wade pool, a spray pad, playgrounds, baseball diamonds, basketball and tennis courts, picnic areas, gazebos, and walking trails.
Trails
The South Windsor trail system connects into Windsor's wider multi-use network, running to the riverfront and across to other parts of the city. Between the bike lanes, the multi-use paths, and the signed routes, it's a substantial network for a residential area.
Shopping and services
Plazas along Dougall, Tecumseh Road, and Huron Church cover the everyday: grocery, pharmacies, banks, salons, restaurants, and professional services. Bigger retail runs are a short drive in any direction.
Healthcare
Windsor Regional Hospital's Metropolitan and Ouellette campuses and Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare are all a short drive, with clinics, dental offices, and allied health throughout the neighbourhood for routine care.
Transit and roads
Multiple bus routes run the major corridors. Tecumseh Road, Huron Church, Dougall, and E.C. Row put you anywhere in the city quickly, and the 401 is close.
